Groundbreaking research by the Institute for Policy Innovation (IPI)—the first research to measure piracy’s cost to the overall economy—reveals significant losses in jobs, earnings, output and tax revenue. IPI's findings, published in a report entitled “The True Cost of Motion Picture Piracy to the U.S. Economy,” will be released at a press conference Friday, Sept. 29. Join IPI and hear from the economist who authored the IPI report as he discusses the impact of movie piracy upon the U.S. economy.
