Oklahoma stands as the last, best hope for defunding President Obama's health care legislation. State Attorney General Scott Pruitt has filed suit against the federal government alleging that the Obama administration plans to violate the clear wording of Obamacare.

The green energy movement is driven by good intentions ... mostly. But it is also riddled with unintended, even ridiculous, consequences that often outweigh the good the movement hopes to achieve.

President Obama says the mandate to have health coverage is essential to making ObamaCare work; but it will be very easy for most of the uninsured to game the penalty and so never be “punished” for not having coverage.

Apparently when President Obama promised, “If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan.  Period,” he was only referring to federal employees and himself. This kind of hypocrisy goes a long way toward explaining why the American people have become so cynical about politics.

After President John F. Kennedy failed to cut income tax rates, President Lyndon Johnson and Virginia Democrat Harry Byrd successfully pushed through the 1964 cuts in personal and corporate income tax rates.

Oklahoma is still fighting ObamaCare, and using a very solid argument for doing so.  If the state is successful, it will largely defund ObamaCare in the states that did not set up their own exchange. 

Health care could become cheaper and more efficient with the full integration of technology.

The Senate bill would likely cost millions of low-income Americans their jobs because of the economic advantage it gives to hiring newly legalized workers instead.

Many federal lawmakers support President Obama in his desire to reduce carbon emissions by imposing the heavy hand of regulation. What they consistently fail to appreciate, however, is that the free market is already curbing energy-related carbon emissions.

Securing an adequate domestic supply of energy is a national security priority; our economic and foreign policies should not be guided by the fear that an energy-exporting strongman will cut off our energy supplies.
