As President Obama trolls for ever more spending, it is more important than ever for Republicans to keep the sequester spending caps if they want to control government spending.

Regulating before we even understand if regulations are needed, what ends regulations might serve, what the challenges might be, or even a useful definition of what would be regulated would be foolish at best, and likely to impede innovation.

Watch out for the president’s embellishments whenever he brags about American energy. Let his policies speak for themselves and let’s give credit or blame, where it’s due.

Middle class wages have been rising, though not by much more than the rate of inflation—and that's a good thing.

President Obama wants to throw more money at the National Institutes of Health, as part of the liberal vision that government is better and cheaper at research. But taxpayers shouldn't give more money to an agency that wastes billions of dollars on questionable, and even ludicrous, research.  

Now the Obama administration is turning its attention to solving the puzzle of why the Internet has been such a massive disappointment.

There is no sacred principle of “local control” that supersedes the structure of legal authority.

Lot's of liberals, the media and even some economists like to talk about "market failure" as a justification for their expansive government policies. But markets don't fail.  What does fail are government policies that try to "fix" markets.

It's tempting to blame President Obama and his economic policies for the unprecedented decline in the labor force participation rate.  And while those policies may have exacerbated the trend, the decline has been occurring for years.

Congress has a clear choice: Make complete and permanent the ban on Internet access and multiple or discriminatory taxes online, encouraging broadband access and e-commerce, or turn away from that national priority and allow the pro-tax thugs to loot our digital future.
